These terms apply to LetterForgeUSA at usalegalletter.site (the “site”), operated by Naveed Qadir. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Questions can be sent to usalegalletter@gmail.com.
1. What the site is
LetterForgeUSA provides free document drafting tools and general information about common rental and housing letters in the United States. The tools turn facts you enter into an editable draft letter, notice, agreement or request, and the site’s guides and tool pages explain what those documents do and what to check before you use them.
The site is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. The operator is a software engineer, not an attorney. The site does not file documents with any court or agency, does not serve or deliver documents to anyone on your behalf, does not give notarization or witness services, and does not provide medical, tax or financial advice.
Rules depend on your location and circumstances. A draft produced by the site is a starting point that you review, adjust and decide whether to send.
2. Your responsibilities
- Review every draft. You are responsible for the content of any letter you generate, edit, download or send, including whether it is accurate, appropriate for your situation and sent to the right person in the right way.
- Verify local rules. Notice periods, deadlines, delivery methods and permitted terms differ by state, county and city, and change over time. Where the site shows a note about a state rule, the note states when an editor checked the source; it is not a substitute for reading the current source yourself or for professional advice.
- Enter accurate facts. The tools only organize what you type. False statements in a letter can have consequences for you, not for us.
- Decide about professional help. If your situation involves an eviction, a disputed deadline, a disability-related accommodation, significant money or a possible lawsuit, consider qualified local legal help before relying on a draft.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful purposes connected to your own housing situation or, where a tool is designed for it, for a tenant, applicant or tenancy you actually manage. You agree not to:
- use the site to create letters that are threatening, harassing, discriminatory, defamatory or intended to deceive;
- impersonate another person or misstate your role (for example, writing a rental reference for yourself in a landlord’s name);
- attempt to access, probe or disrupt the site’s hosting, security measures or other visitors’ sessions;
- copy or republish the site’s original content or templates in bulk without permission, or use automation that disrupts the service; ordinary search-engine crawling is permitted;
- remove or alter the disclaimers and notices that accompany the tools;
- click on advertisements to generate revenue, or otherwise interfere with advertising or analytics.
We may block traffic that appears to violate these terms.
4. Your letters
You retain your rights in the information you provide. You may use, edit, print, send and keep the resulting letters for any lawful purpose, and you do not owe us credit or a fee. This permission includes the template wording contained in your completed draft. Because letters are generated in your browser, we never receive a copy and cannot retrieve one for you.
The eSign tool adds a visible signature or text to a PDF on your device. Use only signatures you are authorized to apply. The tool does not provide identity verification, notarization, witness services or a certified signing record. You are responsible for confirming whether the document and recipient accept your chosen signature method.
5. Our content
The site’s original text, guides, templates, design and code belong to LetterForgeUSA or their respective licensors. You may view the site, print pages for personal reference and share links. The permission to use your completed drafts in section 4 also applies to adaptations of those drafts. Republishing the template library or original guides commercially requires permission unless otherwise allowed by law or an applicable license. Official sources and third-party software remain subject to their own terms.
6. Availability and changes to the tools
Tools are offered as they are, when they are available. Some tools are deliberately limited or disabled where the applicable rules have not been reviewed to the standard the site’s editorial policy requires; the site states this on each tool page. We may change, suspend or remove any tool or content at any time without notice, including to correct errors or to respond to changes in the law.
7. No warranty
The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that a draft is accurate, complete, current, suitable for your purpose, or sufficient under any law, lease or court rule. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing on the site should be read as a promise about the outcome of any dispute, application, request or proceeding.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, LetterForgeUSA and its owner exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Review important documents and obtain qualified help where your circumstances require it.
9. Advertising disclosure
The site is free to use. Advertising is disabled in this release. If advertising is introduced, it will be subject to the required setup and disclosures, and kept separate from the editor, personal preview and download controls. Advertising will not determine the wording of a letter or the sources cited. The privacy policy describes the current configuration.
10. Third-party sites
The site links to official sources and other third-party sites for your convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “updated” date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page for a reasonable period.
12. Applicable rights and disputes
These terms do not choose an exclusive court, require arbitration or waive rights that apply to you under mandatory law. Applicable law determines jurisdiction and any rights that cannot be excluded. You may contact the operator about an issue without giving up any available remedy.
13. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the privacy policy and the legal disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and LetterForgeUSA about the site.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact page.
